When Sinterklaas is in the Netherlands children place their shoes neir the fireplace. Just before they go to bed the children sing Sinterklaas songs, whishing for a present in the morning. The next morning children rush out of bed to see if Sinterklaas visited their homes and left a present. The dear man always does.
